In our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program, men live independently in our local community with support from our transdisciplinary team ranging from two to fifty plus hours per week based on evolving individual needs, with 24/7 access to our team. ACT is an effective, evidence based model. Men may enter our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program directly, or as a step-down from our residential program. Our residential treatment program in Manchester, NH, provides evaluation, treatment, and support in a safe, home-like environment for adult men who experience mental illness with or without co-occurring substance use. Men may directly enter either of our programs. We provide evidence-based Residential Treatment and Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) to men and families impacted by mental illness with or without co-occurring substance use disorders. For men over 18 and their families experiencing mental illness and substance use, we provide more than treatment. Men come from across the nation for our specialized care and we integrate both family and community into every stage of our treatment. With Residential and Assertive Community Treatment programs built upon evidence-based practices pioneered at Dartmouth Psychiatric Research Center, we address mental illness and substance use disorders together, in the same setting, by the same treatment team.
